Sautereau family farmstead

On the farmstead, they grow cereals, have milk breeding (Prim’Holstein breed). Six persons work on the farmstead : 4 family workers and two permanent workers (one works in the fields operations and the other for the cheese production).

They grow 200 ha (AUA) : 30 ha of grass lands, 15-20 ha are used like silage (first cutting) and the rest as cereals (crop rotation : winter wheat, barley, oil seed rape and 40 ha of maize silage). One part of these crops are used for the breeding feed.

The milk breeding includes 80 females cows. They are allowed to produce 580 000 liters. One part of the production is transformed on the farmstead since 2004 (cheese, cream, milk, yogurts). These products are sold on tree different village markets (Thursday, Saturday, Sunday or directly on the farm (little shop).
